desert winds of whispering sands
sounds of despair and bitterness
blowing across this desolate land
teardrops upon this rolling plane
absorbed and then forgotten
like an invisible sacrifice
not marring the desert sands
unlike the blood spilled from her hand
hardened warrior, crying here now
countless lives surrendered
to the blade of your sword
all in the name of righteousness
to avenge the wrong done to you
she mourns the losses of old
repents her sins of new
all confessed to the winds
that torment those wanderers of soul
who come to the desert lands
for solace in the sand
